A HVG aug. 26-i száma (13.oldal) tájékoztat arról ,hogy az ENSZ faji diszkrimináció megszüntetésével foglalkozó bizottsága megállapította, hogy Közép- és Kelet Európában a piacgazdaságra való átmenet során jelentős diszkrimináció és erőszak éria romákat, akiket általában szociális és gazdasági veszélyforrásnak tartanak.

The Hungarian journal "World Economy" reports on the 26th of August (page 13) that the commity of UN dealing with the elimination of racial discrimination drew the attention to the fact recently that the Roma population of the Centrl- and Eastern European countries is subject of growing discrimination and violence since the transition to the market economy started. The Roma are considered sources of social and economic danger.
